Boston YPEM Cornhole Classic 2023

On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, professionals gathered at 90FS for Boston YPEM Cornhole Classic 2023. Players, spectators, sponsors and volunteers came together and raised $18,000 for EMF’s Discovery Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and EMF’s SAMFund grant program for young adults struggling from the financial impacts of cancer.

A special thank you to the highest fundraiser, Boston YPEM Leadership team member, Mario Reto from Ampersand Capital Partners with a fundraising total of over $1,200!

Teams of 2-4 battled for the trophies in the cornhole competition while spectators relaxed and watched the tournament. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a variety of drinks from Anheuser-Busch, Barr Hill, Beatbox, Boston Beer Company, RISE, and Tito’s, complemented by food from Blount Fine Foods, DeAvila’s Catering, Domino’s Pizza, El Pelón Taqueria, Shake Shack, and Thiccy’s Taco Club. EMF extends a huge thank you to all of the event players, spectators, sponsors, food and beverage donors, and especially the volunteers who donated their time to support Boston YPEM Cornhole Classic 2023 and EMF’s mission to help create a better today and brighter tomorrow for the cancer community.

About EMF’s SAMFund

Expect Miracles Foundation’s SAMFund provides critical resources to young adult cancer survivors. Young adults are a vulnerable and underserved segment of the cancer community. We help young adults who are struggling with expenses through two grant categories:  Financial Assistance Grants and Family Building Grants. We award Financial Assistance Grants twice per year to provide assistance for essential living expenses such as rent or mortgage supplementation, car payments, continuing education, fertility storage, and reconstructive procedures. We award Family Building Grants twice a year to help young adult cancer survivors cover expenses related to medical services such as IVF, IUI, gestational carrier, surrogacy, adoption, and fertility testing.
