EMF is proud to announce $275,474 in SAMFund (Surviving and Moving Forward) grants have been awarded to 111 young adult cancer survivors during the Fall 2024 grant cycle.

29 year old Yibran R. was pursuing his dream of opening a Latin-inspired food truck when diagnosed with cancer. Yibran’s story highlights the impact on fertility for young adults, and how the SAMFund grant program gave he and his wife renewed hope.
Megan R.
When Megan R. applied for a SAMFund financial assistance grant in 2023, she and her husband Kristoffer faced overwhelming financial strain. Megan’s battle with Acute Undifferentiated Leukemia had left them drowning in medical debt exceeding $30,000, with her being unable to work as the primary breadwinner.
