Expect Miracles Foundation hosted its largest Atlantic Coast Classic yet, bringing together nearly 400 supporters for a record-breaking day of golf, generosity, and community. With on-site contributions up 17% and the largest Golf Clinic to date, the event continued EMF’s incredible momentum in the fight against cancer.

Expect Miracles in Manhattan 2024
On February 8, 2024, Expect Miracles Foundation [EMF] hosted its highly-anticipated annual Expect Miracles in Manhattan 2024 gala at the exquisite Ziegfeld Ballroom. With a sold-out crowd of 600, the tropical beach-themed ballroom became a hub for Catching a Wave of Hope for the cancer community.
Guests indulged in valuable networking opportunities, connecting with industry peers while championing EMF’s life-saving and life-changing mission. The night featured lively participation in both live and silent auctions, along with the creatively aligned Message in a Bottle contest. The pinnacle of generosity emerged during the live donation appeal, setting a new record with a remarkable $101,000 raised!
The speaking program commenced with a poignant moment, as Executive Director Frank Heavey paid tribute to the late Bill Greilich, an industry peer who recently succumbed to cancer. A moment of silence was observed, underscoring the purpose behind our gathering.
Event Co-Chairs Sandy Bolton of Ameriprise and David Rosen of Morgan Stanley took the stage, extending warm gratitude to our supporters, sponsors, and volunteers. They not only highlighted the evening’s success but also encouraged continued engagement with EMF. Attendees were reminded of diverse involvement opportunities, from signing up for the upcoming Distance Challenge to attending Young Professionals Expect Miracles (YPEM) events or participating in grant reviews.
Appeal Raises Over $101,000
Before the donation appeal, Maggie Dombroski, EMF’s Director of Development, stepped onto the stage to share a deeply personal narrative about the impact of cancer on her and her family. Maggie’s heartfelt speech inspired and deeply resonated with the audience.
$400,000 Check Presentation
In support EMF’s Innovation Fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a check for $400,000 was presented to Dr. David Heller at Expect Miracles Manhattan 2024. Dr. Heller’s research lab develops nanotechnologies to treat metastatic cancers and to detect disease at early stages.

The Young Professionals Expect Miracles [YPEM] groups in Boston and New York compete to win the Kanley Cup. The city that achieves the greatest fundraising amount through its YPEM events and participation as a Miracle Makers wins the cup. The NYC YPEM team won the cup in 2023 for raising $60,546 in 2023.
