NYC YPEM Spring Back into Action
Expect Miracles Foundation [EMF] is grateful to the more than 100 young professionals who attended the NYC YPEM Spring Back into Action event at Linen Hall on April 19, 2023.
Because of their support, we raised critical funds for cancer research and grants for young adult cancer survivors. Net proceeds benefit EMF’s Samfund Grant Program and EMF’s Research Fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
A special thanks goes to NYC YPEM’s co-presidents, Brianna Day from EY and Luci Strauss Garren from Goldman Sachs, for their amazing leadership during the speaking program. The highlight of the evening was the impact of the stories shared by Samfund Grant Recipients: Anastasia Efthymiou, Molly Lane, and Stefanie Vuotto. Their generosity in sharing their cancer experiences as young adult cancer survivors reminded all of us why this fundraising is so important.

About EMF’s Samfund
NYC YPEM Spring Back into Action fundraising event supports Expect Miracles Foundation’s Samfund Grant Program which provides critical resources to young adult cancer survivors. Young adults are a vulnerable and underserved segment of the cancer community. We help young adults who are struggling with expenses through two grant categories: Financial Assistance Grants and Family Building Grants.
EMF awards Financial Assistance Grants twice per year to provide assistance for essential living expenses such as rent or mortgage supplementation, car payments, continuing education, fertility storage, and reconstructive procedures. And, EMF awards Family Building Grants twice a year to help young adult cancer survivors cover expenses related to medical services such as IVF, IUI, gestational carrier, surrogacy, adoption, and fertility testing.
