Application to run for EMF in the 2024 Boston Marathon® is now open!
Expect Miracles Foundation [EMF] is proud to be an Official Charity of the Boston Marathon taking place on Monday, April 15, 2024. As a member of the 2024 Boston Marathon Expect Miracles Racing Team you will be raising critical funds for our life-saving and life-changing mission! The funds raised will support research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and our Samfund programs to help young adult cancer survivors through direct financial assistance, advocacy, and financial education.
If you are accepted as a member of the 2024 Boston Marathon Expect Miracles Racing Team you will receive:
Guaranteed Race Entry
You will be running in The Boston Marathon, the country’s most iconic race.
Racing Gear
Expect Miracles Foundation will send all runners branded singlets to run in!

We will set you up with your own page on the GivenGain platform so you can easily direct supporters to your fundraiser and collect donations in one place.
Fundraising Tips
You will gain access to the Expect Miracles Foundation fundraising guide, get support with fundraising events, and receive help with anything else you need to fundraise to your highest potential.
Training Plan/Tips
Whether you are an experienced marathoner or this is your first time, EMF will provide you with a training plan and helpful tips to guide you along the training process.
Criteria for Runner Selection
EMF runners will be responsible for a fundraising minimum of $8,000 and the B.A.A. registration fee of $375. Completing the application does NOT guarantee a Boston Marathon Number. Decisions will be based on but not limited to the following criteria:
- Connection to the EMF’s mission to invest in life-saving cancer research while advancing the financial and emotional health of people impacted by cancer.
- Having a fundraising goal (minimum is $8,000) and proven fundraising experience.
- A fundraising plan to meet your fundraising goal.
- Running and road race experience.
EMF will be accepting and reviewing applications for 10 available bibs on a rolling basis until our team is selected.
