We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you submit, or access your personal information.

You may use our site without disclosing personal, identifying information. We will not obtain such information about you unless you choose to submit it to us. By donating, registering, or attending an event, your information is storied in our donor database. This database is only used internally and never shared or sold to third parties.

We will send you e-mails or mailings in the future informing you of other Expect Miracles Foundation events, opportunities or news. You  an opt out of email communications by selecting the unsubscribe option at the bottom of emails.

Information Collection

Expect Miracles Foundation collects information to support our mission to provide services and products to nonprofit peer-to-peer events. Our information collection lets us better understand our users’ interests and needs. Information collected by Expect Miracles Foundation will vary depending on the user’s interactions with Expect Miracles Foundation.

“Personal Information” means information that we can use to identify or contact you. It can include health and other information you submit when you use our interactive tools. We do not collect personally identifiable information from you unless you provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. We do not require visitors to register or provide information to us to view the website. Expect Miracles Foundation only gathers personally identifiable information when it is voluntarily submitted by a user. Our website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data on children under 13. We comply with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA).

Health Connect Data

Expect Miracles Foundation apps may access data from Apple Health, Android Health Connect, Garmin, Strava, and Fitbit to support fitness-related features. The data we receive is limited to fitness activity only—specifically, workout types and durations, steps, and distance. This information is used solely to credit users with activity rewards related to their participation in nonprofit fundraising campaigns.

We do not collect or share users’ health record data of any kind. No personal health record information beyond the activity types stated above is accessed, stored, or transmitted by Expect Miracles Foundation.

Users retain full control over their connection to Android Health Connect and may choose to connect or disconnect at any time through the Activity Tracking screen in the app.

User-Deletion Request

If a user would like to remove their account and associated user data, including activity tracking, if applicable, they can go distancechallenge@expectmiraclesfoundation.org and submit a formal request.
