Expect Miracles Foundation’s young professional group (YPEM) gathered on Thursday, February 27 at The Tailor Public House in New York City for some friendly bartending competition for a great cause. The 3rd Annual Battle of the Bartenders brought together over 100 young professionals from over 25 companies to watch the YPEM Leadership Team members and their guests battle it our for the title of “Top YPEM Bartender" and to raise some significant funds for the fight against cancer. The event would not have been possible without Presenting Sponsor PwC, the YPEM Leadership Team, or all the guests who attended to watch the bartending showdown – THANK YOU!

YPEM Leadership Team Members and their guests were the bartenders for the night, and they each got behind the bar to demonstrate their pouring skills and fight it out for the most “tips.” Guests purchased “tip tickets” and awarded them to the bartender they believed deserved the title of “Top YPEM Bartender.” If they liked what the bartender was serving up, they dropped their tip into the bartender’s tip bucket. At the end of the night, tickets were drawn to win some great prizes.
Attendees enjoyed drinks and appetizers while networking with their peers and cheering on their favorite bartenders. Congratulations to the winning bartender Luci Strauss of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, who faced some stiff competition from runner-up Emily Roberts of BlackRock. 75% of net proceeds from the event will be directed to The Samfund, our program that provides financial assistance to young adult cancer survivors. 25% will be directed to cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Thank you to everyone who attended for all the support in the fight against cancer. We look forward to seeing all of you at the 4th Annual Kan Jam & Cornhole Classic on Friday, May 15, 2020! Please check out the event website to learn about forming a team, volunteering or being a spectator.
