Expect Miracles Foundation hosted its largest Atlantic Coast Classic yet, bringing together nearly 400 supporters for a record-breaking day of golf, generosity, and community. With on-site contributions up 17% and the largest Golf Clinic to date, the event continued EMF’s incredible momentum in the fight against cancer.

Financial Services Cup 2024
It was a warm and beautiful day at Black Rock Country Club in Hingham, MA on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 for the Financial Services Cup 2024. Twenty of Expect Miracles Foundation’s [EMF] loyal supporters gathered to play in the Ryder Cup-style tournament hosted by Frank Strauss, Founder and Chairman of the Board of EMF.
The tournament format is a best-ball net, match play between two teams of 10 players, who are drafted and then paired by the team captains. In each of the five matches, 3 points are awarded: one point for the team that wins the most holes on the front 9, the back 9, and total holes. The team that wins at least 8 points, wins the FS Cup.

I want to thank EMF and Frank Strauss for hosting this great tournament, and for all of you supporting a cause that is so personally important to me. Congratulations to Gary Enos and his team for a hard- fought victory today. We battled, but they earned the Cup.
Meet the Winners
Both teams were led by veteran captains and put up a great effort on the course. Ultimately, Team Ancers2Cancer, captained by Gary Enos, came away with the win! In keeping with the tradition of the captain of the defeated team presenting the FS Cup to the captain of the winning team, Ken Starr presented Gary Enos with the coveted trophy.
Looking ahead, this year’s captains nominated the two captains for the 2025 tournament: J. Stratton and Stephen Kraunelis. Current players will have the first right of refusal to play in the 2025 FS Cup, and any open spots in the tournament will be available in auctions at upcoming EMF events.
Value of Participating in the Financial Services Cup
I’ve had the pleasure of participating in each of the Financial Services Cup events since inception, serving as Team Captain for the first two years. This event brings together people of all ages and golf skill levels, as a way to connect with colleagues in the financial services industry, but more importantly, to help raise both awareness and money in the battle against cancer. While many of us compete against each other on the business front, this day is about coming together as a team to support EMF and enjoying a fantastic day of fun and golf with both old friends and new ones!
I attend many Expect Miracles Foundation events and fundraisers. The Financial Services Cup is one of my favorite and totally unique. It’s EMF’s smallest golf tournament. Players get the opportunity to spend concentrated time with 1-3 people they typically don’t know. It’s a great way to forge new relationships in the financial services industry, and enjoy a fun, competitive golf game, all while doing good.
