On June 12, the 14th annual Mutual Funds Against Cancer Expect Miracles Golf Classic presented by Interactive Data Corporation was held at Pinehills and Waverly Oaks Country Club in Plymouth, Mass. More than 450 business and fi nancial executives and 100 company sponsors helped to raise over $600,000. Former New England Patriot and cancer survivor Joe Andruzzi delivered the keynote speech at the dinner reception. The Hingham-based nonprofi t Mutual Funds Against Cancer raised more than $600,000 in donations from businesses, fi nancial executives and sponsors at its 14th annual Expect Miracles Golf Classic, which was held last week at the Pinehills and Waverly Oaks golf clubs in Plymouth. Spanning three golf courses, the event included more than 450 business and fi nancial executives and has more than 80 fi nancial sponsors. Proceeds from the tournament will benefi t the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. “A key to the success of Mutual Funds Against Cancer is that we have brought the fi nancial industry together to work in unison for such a critical cause,” said Frank Strauss, the group’s founder and chairman. “We are elated that the industry has embraced MFAC as its charity and has joined our mission to make a difference on the war against cancer.”
