Board Member Spotlight: Clint Harris

Board-Spotlight

Expect Miracles Foundation is delighted to have welcomed five new members to its Board of Directors this year.

To celebrate, we’ll be spotlighting each new member with a Q&A series! This week, we’re featuring Clint Harris, Head of Wealth Management Platforms for Invesco US Wealth Management Intermediaries. Read below to hear more about Clint’s involvement with Expect Miracles and why he’s excited to take on this new role.

Q: Tell us a little about you—what is your professional background in the financial services industry and what is your current role?

I have been with Invesco since 1999 and currently serve as the EVP, Head of Wealth Management Platforms and Invesco Global Consulting. I started with the firm in our retirement plan call center, moved into investment due diligence, then Investments, and am now part of Distribution. I am responsible for our Strategic Accounts and Investment Due Diligence teams, which create trusted partnerships with retail, retirement, and insurance wealth platforms. I also oversee our Consulting team that works with financial professionals to optimize their practice through presentations, workshops, and comprehensive coaching.

Q: What drew you to Expect Miracles Foundation? What does the mission mean to you?

Supporting cancer research and those undergoing treatment is personal. I have lost a father, two aunts, two grandmothers, and have a mother who is a cancer survivor. I have experienced first-hand the toll and hardship this illness has on families, but I have also seen the joy of survival.  I want to be part of a cause that creates more of that joy for other families

Serving on the board is an honor. Those who are fortunate enough to be in a position of influence have a responsibility to be an agent of positive impact for our industry and communities.  Being a board member also allows me to deepen my engagement and support of the Foundation.  I also have strong personal and professional relationships with many involved in EMF. Supporting a great cause with individuals you enjoy is a win-win.

Q: What Expect Miracles event(s) are you most looking forward to this year?

That’s a tough call.  I love fall golf in the Northeast so the Atlantic Coast Classic is always a great time. That being said, I am most excited to rally more of my colleagues at Invesco to participate in the (social) Distance Challenge, coming up in May. I think it is a great opportunity to get team members moving for a great cause and interject some friendly competition.

Q: What would you say to someone that's considering donating to or otherwise supporting the Foundation?

Ask yourself if the money you are considering donating will impact your life more than those benefiting from the work of EMF.

Q: Last question! Can you tell us a quick fun fact about yourself?

My daughter and I are on a mission to complete the “Adirondack 46,” which are the highest 46 peaks in the Adirondack Mountain range.  We have completed 11 so far.

We’re incredibly eager to work with Clint and his network to further the Foundation’s mission and look forward to another year of progress and impact.
