Dan Lee IRONMAN 70.3 Alghero
We are proud to once again spotlight Dan Lee, who continued his incredible commitment to Expect Miracles Foundation (EMF) by taking on IRONMAN 70.3 Alghero in Sardinia, Italy on June 7, 2026.
After completing his first IRONMAN in 2023 in support of EMF, Dan was inspired to continue pushing himself, both physically and philanthropically, driven by a deeply personal connection to the mission.
Driven By Purpose
In February 2022, Dan’s mother lost her courageous battle with cancer. However, thanks in part to an immunotherapy treatment developed at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and funded by EMF, she was able to live for years beyond her diagnosis. That breakthrough gave Dan and his family something invaluable: more time together and the opportunity to celebrate meaningful milestones, including Dan’s wedding and the arrival of two grandchildren.
This year’s race took place along the stunning coastline of Alghero, but behind the scenic course was a powerful purpose. Dan used the opportunity to raise funds and awareness for EMF. He also had his biggest supporters by his side, with his wife and two young children traveling to Italy to cheer him on.
“I signed up for the half-Ironman because I wanted to do something hard, something that would demand everything from me, and tie it to something that actually matters. EMF is close to my heart, and crossing that finish line would mean more if I was carrying a bigger purpose with me. Seeing how people continue to show up & support this cause makes the whole journey so much more worthwhile.”
