Dan Lee Ironman 2023
It is with immense appreciation and excitement that we thank Daniel Lee, from Invesco, for his courageous effort in raising funds for Expect Miracles Foundation [EMF]’s life-saving mission. On July 9, 2023, Dan completed a Half Ironman (70.3 miles) in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State in support of EMF. A Half Ironman is a monumental feat, demanding true physical endurance and mental fortitude. Comprising a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run, it tests athletes to their limits, pushing them to overcome obstacles and surpass boundaries.
Dan’s dedication to completing his first Half Ironman in memory of his late mother is both a powerful tribute and a remarkable gesture of love and resilience. Because of advancements in cancer science, Dan’s mother got the opportunity to enjoy his wedding, and become “Nana” twice.
My family is living proof of the positive impact of Expect Miracles Foundation. My mother thrived for YEARS after her cancer diagnosis due in large part to an immunotherapy treatment developed by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and directly funded by EMF.
