About
Expect Miracles Foundation’s SAMFund (Surviving and Moving Forward) provides critical financial resources to young adult cancer survivors (ages 21-39) twice a year through grants in two categories: Financial Assistance Grants and Family Building Grants. SAMFund grants have helped thousands of young adults rebuild after treatment by supporting essential needs such as housing, car payments, family building, education, and other costs tied to survivorship.

THE HIDDEN COST OF SURVIVING CANCER
SAMFund grants were first awarded in 2005 in response to the higher rates of financial toxicity among young adult survivors compared to other age groups and the lack of dedicated resources specifically for this population. Young adults facing cancer often encounter a unique financial burden at a critical stage of life as they are just building careers, families, savings, and independence.

VOLUNTEER AS A GRANT REVIEWER
Volunteer grant reviewers play an important role in helping evaluate applications and steward donor resources thoughtfully and compassionately. There are opportunities for corporate or community volunteers to participate in the review process as small groups.

The SAMFund Soirée brings together supporters, partners, and community leaders for an inspiring evening benefiting young adult cancer survivors. Sponsorship offers meaningful visibility while advancing a life-changing mission.
JOIN EMF’s YOUNG PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
YPEM (Young Professionals Expect Miracles) is a committed group of the next generation of professionals (ages 21-39) who are dedicated to EMF’s mission. 100% of net proceeds of YPEM events are directed to EMF’s SAMFund.
FUND A NAMED SAMFund GRANT
