“I’m honored to be running the 2025 New York City Marathon with EMF. This cause is deeply personal to me—several of my loved ones have faced cancer with unimaginable strength, and their courage continues to inspire me every day. My Aunt Deb battled colon cancer for 16 years, enduring more than 100 rounds of chemotherapy with incredible resilience, before passing away this past March. I’m running in memory of Aunt Deb, to honor all those who have lost their lives, and to support everyone still fighting this disease.”

“I am running the NYC Marathon alongside Expect Miracles Foundation in honor of my godfather Frank, who was recently diagnosed with stage IV multiple myeloma. Frank is a world-renowned doctor in his field of cell biology and he has spent his entire life fighting cancer. In my first ever marathon, I’m dedicating this race towards Frankie in both his research and now in his fight.”

“I’m running the NYC Marathon in support of EMF for my family, friends, and all those who have bravely battled cancer or lost loved ones to it. This race holds special meaning as I dedicate it to my sister, Clare, who courageously overcame thyroid cancer in 2021 and went on to run the NYC Marathon just two years later. Running with EMF gives me the chance to not only honor those we’ve lost and celebrate survivors but also to take meaningful steps—literally—toward ending cancer.”

“I’m running the New York City Marathon with EMF because I believe that the foundation provides support for a charitable cause that can often be overlooked. I was moved by the foundation’s work when I attended my first YPEM event, in which we helped raise funds for EMF’s SAMFund Grant Program, awarding grants to young adult cancer survivors. As a young adult fresh out of college and beginning my life in the real world, there are many new challenges to overcome, including paying bills, managing a career, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. For young adults who are battling cancer, medical bills, health concerns, and physical and mental well being add onto the stressors that are faced in every day life. No one should have to deal with the burden of this alone. I hope to make an impact for this cause by raising money through running the marathon!”
