A Record Breaking Year for YPEM

2018 YPEM

Expect Miracles Foundation’s young professionals group, YPEM, has made 2018 another amazing and successful year. Completing its fifth year, YPEM continued to grow, adding in more events and surpassing fundraising goals. As a reflection of their hard work of rallying their peers together, Boston and New York YPEM groups raised a record $110,000 for Expect Miracles Foundation’s life-saving mission! This was also the second year of the Kanley Cup competition. Each year, the Young Professionals Expect Miracles groups in Boston and New York compete to win the Kanley Cup. The city that achieves the greatest fundraising amount through its YPEM events and young professional membership in the Miracle Maker Leadership Council wins the Kanley Cup. In 2018, together, Boston and NYC raised over $110,000, but Boston took home the trophy raising $63,000 – $17,000 more than NYC. It was a close call for a while, but Boston was able to edge out the completion at the last minute. Congratulations to Boston on being back-to-back champs!"Unfortunately, the majority of people have a connection to cancer. I support Expect Miracles Foundation because it is a unique group that rallies the Financial Services Group to raise capital for Cancer Research and Treatment." – Brianna Day, EY While all the members of the YPEM team did an astonishing job, we recognized two individuals for their outstanding efforts towards The Foundation. Both Matthew Collins, from Morgan Stanley, and Chelsea Gavitt, from Income Research + Management, were presented with The YPEM Award. The YPEM Award is given in recognition of a young professional whose exceptional contribution of time, resources, and energy rallies the next generation of financial executives to support the life-saving mission of Expect Miracles Foundation.Thank you to everyone who was involved with the Expect Miracles Foundation’s young professionals groups this year – YOU are the Cure! We look forward to seeing what we are able to accomplish next!
